Each Basilisk is built around a distinct metal shell character:

• Hammered Bronze — warm, complex, and full of character. The hammered surface breaks up standing waves for an open, singing tone with rich overtones and a voice unlike anything else on the stage.
• Polished Brass — classic and authoritative. Brass delivers a full, warm low-end crack with a smooth, controlled attack and a tone that has defined snare drumming for generations.
• Black-Nickel over Brass — bold, dark, and aggressive. The black-nickel finish adds visual impact while the brass core delivers deep, punchy tone with exceptional projection.
• Hammered Brass — the best of both worlds. Brass warmth meets hammered complexity for a snare that cuts through any mix with character and power.
