From a crisp backbeat to a quiet ghost note, build a snare that feels like your own. The Tegu 13x5 pairs a 13-inch diameter, 5-inch-deep, 10-ply wood shell with your choice of hoops, lugs, and hardware finish. Each snare is handcrafted to order in Texas.

Choose Your Wood

• Mahogany: warm, full-bodied character with rich low mids and a smooth attack.
• Walnut: dark, woody character with an articulate attack.
• Birch: bright, punchy character with a crisp attack.
• Cherry: warm, balanced character with a focused midrange.

Configure Your Hardware

Choose triple-flanged hoops for a classic feel and lively response, or die-cast hoops for a more focused attack and solid rimshot feel. Both hoop styles are offered with five lug choices:

• Single-End Round Lugs
• Double-End Round Lugs
• Double-End Standard Tube Lugs
• Single-End Standard Tube Lugs
• Cylindrical Post Tube Lugs

The 13x5 uses eight lug stations with 16 tension rods: 16 individual single-end lugs or eight double-end/cylindrical-post tube lugs, depending on your selection.

Hardware Finishes

Chrome, Brass, and Black are available with every listed hoop and lug combination.

White is available with triple-flanged hoops and either Double-End Standard Tube or Single-End Standard Tube lugs. Satin is available with die-cast hoops and either Double-End Standard Tube or Single-End Standard Tube lugs. These special finishes are not offered with round or cylindrical-post lugs on the 13-inch Tegu.

Included Build Details

• Evans Genera HD Dry batter head
• Evans Clear 300 snare-side head
• Puresound Super 30 snare wires
• Standard S-1 strainer and matching butt plate on Chrome, Brass, and Black builds; finish-matched strainer and butt plate on White and Satin builds

A Trick strainer upgrade is optional on Chrome, Brass, and Black builds and is not included in the listed base price. Contact Drumzilla before ordering to arrange the upgrade and confirm its additional cost.

Every Tegu snare is assembled by hand to your selected specifications. Choose the wood, hardware profile, and finish that suit your playing and make it part of your next rehearsal, recording session, or live set.

Payment Schedule

To arrange a 50% deposit, contact Drumzilla before ordering. Standard checkout requires full payment. For arranged deposit orders, construction begins after the 50% deposit is paid, and the remaining balance is due before shipping.
